This slide shows the range of multi-slice CT scanners currently available. Some manufacturers offer scanners which acquire up to 2 slices per rotation, as well as those that acquire up to 4. Both the Toshiba multi-slice CT scanners acquire up to 4 slices per rotation; of these, the Aquilion Multi has the higher specification.
Scanners considered during this talk are those high-lighted in yellow. Of these, ImPACT has fully evaluated the GE LightSpeed Advantage and the Marconi Mx8000, and I will present some ImPACT data for these scanners. We have also had the opportunity to investigate the Siemens Somatom Volume Zoom and will evaluate the Toshiba Aquilion Multi in June.
