This slide shows a comparison of z-axis geometric efficiencies for the GE Lightspeed Advantage – before and after the focal spot tracking upgrade.

Focal spot tracking has clearly improved the GE figures considerably, although notice the relatively low z-axis geometric efficiency for the 5mm beam width (i.e. 66% relative to 81-93%).

The message here is that although, when first introduced clinically, the GE Lightspeed did have problems with irradiated slice widths, these have largely been resolved.
