Spatial Resolution Phantom
Edge method
- Uses a block of high contrast material to measure the edge spread function
Delta impulse method
- Uses a small bead or a wire to measure the point spread function
We used Tungsten wire (0.1mm diameter, 140 mm long)
Notes:
- There are two methods for objective measurement of spatial resolution
- The Edge method, uses a block of high contrast material to measure the edge spread function.
- The Delta impulse method, uses a small bead or wire to measure the point spread function
We have used a 0.1mm thick Tungsten Wire to provide sufficient Z-extension and high contrast for any slice width.
