- kVs, slice widths, scan times, reconstruction kernels,
- axial and helical modes
first test axial scans; tests basic function of scanner
- then choose a helical mode
choose protocols at limit of scanner’s ability
- narrowest slice, high spatial resolution ? high precision
focus on standard clinical scanning protocols
- noise, dose, (and slice, resolution)
- representative for head and body
- maybe rotate through a sequence for daily tests
- for specialist applications look at all used protocols
