Notes:
This graph shows image standard deviation along the phantom length with the Toshiba SUREExposure system.
With a fixed mA, the noise increases along the length.
With the target standard deviation set to 5, 10, 12 and 17 Hounsfield units, the measured SD is as shown.
As with the other systems, the AEC does not do a perfect job, but it’s certainly an improvement.
