- Cardiology: gated acquisitions improve temporal resolution, reducing motion artefacts. Coronary angiography growing rapidly
- Cardiac calcification: has good potential to rival EBCT scans
- Lung cancer screening: ability to produce simultaneous wide and narrow slices over large volume
