The Toshiba Xpress GX is a third generation spiral CT scanner. It has a 3.5 MHU x-ray tube, which is used clinically at 120 or 130 kV, and six slice thicknesses from 1 to 10 mm. This report examines the imaging and dosimetric performance of the Xpress GX, providing a wide range of information on all aspects of its performance. The imaging and dosimetry results, which generally indicate good quality imaging, are comparable to other top-range single slice scanners, and are also applicable to single-slice Toshiba Asteion scanners.
