:: evaluation reports
The results of ImPACT's scanner evaluations have been published by the NHS PASA Centre for Evidence-based Purchasing (CEP), as evaluation reports. These allow purchasers to make decisions based on independent and detailed information. A list of reports is given in the table below with links to a summary of each report, which then links to the download page at the CEP archive website.
There are a number of types of report:
- Multi-product comparison reports, which compare the scanners currently on the market that we have assessed.
- In depth single product technical evaluation report. These cover the imaging and dosimetric aspects of a scanner.
- User evaluation reports, which cover the ease of use, ergonomics and facilities provided by a scanner.
- Various other reports, such as 'Methods and Methodology', which describes our assessment techniques and rationale.
Problems linking to reports?
We are aware that there have problems with the links from our site to some of the published reports, due to the DH CEP website being moved. These should all now be working: if you continue to experiencing difficulties, you are best to go to the CEP archive web site and select the report from the list
Planned Reports
Please note: due to our current position there are currently no plans to carry out type testing of the 64 slice scanners currently on offer; nor the newest scanners such as 256-slice scanners and dual-source scanners.
If you are looking for dosimetric information, please also read our note regarding the CT Dosimetry tool, which you can find here.
