:: emails & phishing

E-mail is now the most common form of communication between us at ImPACT and the users of our site. Of course, we receive a large amount of SPAM to our addresses.
we use systems such as SPAMASSASSIN and SpamBayes to limit this - but they have been known to reject apparently valid messages. If that has happened to you, we apologise. Please try using one of our feedback forms instead

Mails sent to and from ImPACT are subject to the standard DH and NHS caveats and restrictions - see for example http://www.stgeorges.nhs.uk/emaildisclaimer.html

We do not phish - we will never ask you for personally sensitive information. All we will ask for on this site is enough information for us to correspond with you in the case of an enquiry.

we do ask for some personal details when requesting the download of one of our information leaflets or tools; this is solely for the purpose of filtering out web-crawlers and random button clickers, but it does have the advantage of allowing us to gain an understanding of those who use our resources. It is possible to obtain the download without supplying such information

::virus protection

We make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus programme on all material downloaded from the internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system that may occur while using material derived from this web site.

:: privacy

Please note that any information you provide will be used within ImPACT; if you contact us, then our system will record your email address and other information if volunteered to us by you. This shall be treated as proprietary and confidential. As well as correspondence relating to your communication, such data may be used for internal review and audit purposes. If you want such data deleted once the correspondence is complete, please let us know. You may contact us at any time to request that we remove record of your e-mail address from live systems.

Should your enquiry so require, your details may be passed to other centres within CEP and appropriate bodies of the NHS; we will aim to seek your permission first and will inform you of such actions.

Data you supply to ImPACT never be supplied to third parties without first obtaining your consent; unless we are obliged by law to disclose such information.
